Overview

There are a large variety of projects that are referred to as a Bitcoin "fork". Additionally, there is some ambiguity over what qualifies as a "fork" since the exact nature of each project varies. At Forkdrop.io, we do not track projects that are simply using the Bitcoin source code. We focus on projects that issue coins via some inheritance of the state of the Bitcoin (BTC) ledger. This page is a live representation of our dataset. It splits the known projects into meaningful categories and illustrates the current size and makeup of Bitcoin fork space.

These fork projects are listed with more specific detail on our our main page where they are also ranked for relevance and importance. We also have an alphabetized list of the fork projects on our page: A Complete List of Bitcoin Fork Projects.
